1960 Honda Dream CE71 Osoyoos Canada to Tijuana Mexico - Vintage Motorcycle Ad
Tijuana, Mexico, May 12 - Proving their boast that "It could be done" L.A.P.D. motorcycle officers Doug Woodward and Roxie Rockwood teamed up to complete 1475 mile Canada to Mexico non-stop motorcycle endurance test in the time of 32 hours.  Leaving Osoyoos, Canada, 2 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, followed by Bob Rickard driving a follow-up station wagon, Rocky Rockwood, team lead-off man, headed south for a brisk 700 mile 1st lap ending in Weed, California. Woodward then replaced Rockwood and piloted the powerful Honda CE-71 steadily Southward. Heavy winds up to 60 mph could not dampen their quest for a new record...and it didn't! Tijuana, Mexico was soon sighted, a new record was set by Honda - new 3-flag Canada to Mexico Champions.
