Sideshow King Kong Armature
EXACT REPRODUCTION from Bob Burns' original saved from oblivion personal Kong.
This Armature is EXCATLY the same as the one used by Obie before the rubber and fur was applied.

This IRON and Aluminum armature has all of the moving joints as the original.
It is so exact that it copies the transfer of Irion to aluminum at the back-joints.
This causes a weak spot
. As you can see from almost any photos of the armatures extant on the web, Kong has an arm on the floor or foot.
That is because it is extremely difficuly to balance him properly to get a full upright pose.
IT IS POSSIBLE

But I was not going to be the one who stripped one of the screws in the attempt to keep a full upright posture now.
I imagine that LOCKTIGHT might do the trick, or any worthy mechanically inclined owner can think of a million ways to "fix" Kong. But that it the truth of the matter-
Beyond that it is an absolute treasure to own.
I am old and offer this Kong to a worthy new home.

Kong will be removed from base and strapped down to wood for transport.
