Description

The hippopotamus is a replica of one from the Middle Kingdom, about 1850 B.C.  He is roughly about 7 inches long and 7.25 inches tall and is a bright blue with marsh plants outlined in black. There is a chip on the left side right above his mouth that has been painted over (see picture 7 - you have to know it's there to find it)  I have the original biography that came with him.  Picture 9 shows both this British Museum hippo and the Metropolitan Museum hippo, which I am also selling. The color of the British Museum hippo is much more vivid than the Metropolitan one.
