Hand Carved Soapstone? Hippopotamus Figurine, Kenya

Description

This is a hand carved soapstone (I think) hippopotamus figurine.
He has a sticker that says "Hand carved / Made in Kenya" on the bottom.
He measures approximately 6" long by 3 1/4" wide, and sits 3 5/8" tall.
He is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks that I can see.

carlsstuff15 came to be when my wife and I had to downsize to a smaller apartment and decided to try our hand at selling some of our 'stuff' on Ebay.
We have always enjoyed garage/yard/estate saleing.
That being said, most of the items listed are used, unless noted otherwise, and have some minor flaws which I try to describe to the best of my abilities.
