    Description

Very old and rare hand-painted metal model of a Holland America Lines cargo-passenger ship, probably made as an advertising paperweight back in the day.
This small desktop model appears to date from the early to mid-20th century when cargo-liners were a viable means of crossing the Atlantic. It's cast in metal and hand-painted in a black and white livery with green, gold and white on the stack. One side of the base reads "Holland-America Line", and the other side is written in Dutch.
It measures 6.5" long by 1.5" wide by 1.5" tall, and weighs over 1/2 lb.
It's very well worn with age, with some of the paint worn off and a little bit of cracking on the base. The ship itself in pretty good shape with all its metal masts intact and no breaks or cracks, just some paint loss. A terrific old souvenir for the Holland-America or cargo liner collector.
