Irish Brigade Musicians Pocket Watch And Fife Alonzo Mahan 116th PVI. Original Pocket watch and fife belonging to Mahan who was a musician in The 116th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, which was part of The Irish Brigade during The Civil War. Mahan was active for 8 months during the war until he was discharged with a disability. The watch is engraved with his name and unit. The fife has been with the watch as a set and was in the possession of Mahan’s Great Great Grandson who passed away just a few years ago. He took possession of the items in 1968 and had them since then. The watch is not in working order as there is no key. The fife is in solid condition. Set will come in a glass top riker case for display.
