original 6 Pocket Advertising Shop Apron - promoting Armstrong Circle Theatre on CBS & Armstrong Excelon Tile which was advertised on the TV show.
Unusual early TV show promo item. Armstrong Circle Theatre ran on CBS Television from 1950 to 1963. It was an anthology type show which over the years starred and featured guest stars like James Dean (semi regular), Robert Duvall, Jack Klugman, Elizabeth Montgomery, Theodore Bikel and many more stars and future stars.
I don't know how many of these they made and gave away to hardware stores and such but I bet there cannot be many that remain.
A friend of mine bought a large woodworking shop from a 90 year old man who now resides in a rest home. This apron was hanging in the shop along with some other shop aprons and carpenters aprons. I am selling it for him.
I think it would look great hanging on a wall with a collection on early TV or just CBS Television memorabilia.
Good condition, the cloth is solid with no holes. I hand washed and the cloth remains off white from shop dirt. See photos for exact condition. All 6 patch pockets are real pockets.
